The Pre-Law Club is open to all majors who are interested in learning more about law and preparing themselves for lawschool.  The meetings are twice monthly on Thursdays at 7:00pm in Violette Hall 1430.  The Fall 2008 meetings will begin meeting on Thursday, August 28th.  If you would like to be on the Pre-Law Club mailing list, please send an email to trumanprelawclub@yahoo.com.  The Club also volunteers their time at the Kirksville Juvenile Center every other Sunday Evening from 5:30 to 6:30.

Law School Applications can be done partially on-line.  Type in all information common to applications one time, and the software fills in the info for each school you are applying to.  See here.  Registration for the 2007-08 test cycle is available at lsac.org; We usually recommend the June or October test so students can  complete applications by November or December.  Some Juniors take the test in February. You can pick up a registration booklet from Professor Jayne in BT2210 or Professor Parker in MC227 or the Assessment & Testing Office in VH1130.  Some Law Colleges run summer programs for historically under represented students.  Two in our region are at Nebraska and Iowa.  A list is provided of law schools attended by the number of Truman graduates in Fall 2007.
