Local Internships
"I have thoroughly
enjoyed my first week of work. I am already familiar with the
children and I feel like I have learned a want to teach, but I do
know that whatever I do in life will be with kids, many of which will
have problems…Many of them had a very poor family life before coming to
Bruce Normile, so they really think of the staff as family members
and that is a great feeling...I enjoy every minute that I spend with those
kids….” -Allie Grimm, Normile Family Center
“...Without this experience I would still be asking myself if I would be strong enough, smart enough or even just streetwise enough to survive working with this group of people…” Amy states how good it felt to know they felt comfortable with her. It gave her the inspiration to pursue addiction counseling as a possible career. - Amy Wheeler, Preferred Family Healthcare
